T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified DevOps Engineer to support a new initiative with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to modernize legacy software and applications that provide immigration status, criminal history, and real-tie assistance to federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement that require assistance with carrying out their missions. This is an agile software development and support services program supporting mission-critical work for DHS.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and operationalize Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutionsSupport and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing toolsDesign and implement DevOps solutions that leverage AWS / AZURE and internal products/service capabilities to meet requirementsSupport transformation of established infrastructure using automation; Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation toolingProvide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) and support operation and maintenance teamDevelop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.Design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the productDevelop and maintain automated test framework tools to facilitate Systems Engineer testing tasks.Research and recommend innovative, and where applicable automate approaches for system administrations tasks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldA minimum of five (5) years of build automation and release management experience in production environmentsAWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer certificationExperience building and releasing IAC in a controlled environment with an understanding of full-lifecycle configuration management.Experience installing, configuring and using various open source and CI/CD tools such as CloudBees, Ansible, Selenium, Docker, Sonarqube, Terraform.Experience creating Container Clusters using technologies such as AWS ECS Fargate or KubernetesExperience developing coding/scripting to build required automation and tools (using Ansible, Ruby, Groovy, Python, Bash, Powershell, Java, etc.)Experience configuring and/or utilizing monitoring/logging solutions for operations such as Cloud Watch, AppDynamics, Nagios, Collectd, logstash, or Kafka.Experience with version control systems (GitHub)Experience with DevOps concepts and automation skillsExperience with both Windows and UNIX operating systemsExperience web infrastructure fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.Ability to understand and actively participate in SCRUM Agile methodologyExcellent debugging and testing skills
