About the job Staff Accountant

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts, including but not limited to cash, investments, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Process vendor invoices and credit memos using the Docupeak accounts payable platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing information.
  • Ensure all invoices have proper documentation and approval before processing payments.
  • Promptly address and resolve issues related to vendors and invoices.
  • Investigate and rectify mismatches between purchase orders and vendor invoices.
  • Provide assistance in the monthly financial close process, including balance sheet reconciliations as required
  • Facilitate the annual audit and quarterly reviews by providing necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Uphold compliance with the company's SOX requirements.
  • Handle additional tasks as reasonably assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency with Netsuite is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Competent in analyzing and solving problems effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
