ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cyber Security Engineer - Software Testing to join our team in Chantilly, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. Software Testers are responsible for the quality of software development and deployment. They are involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is ready for deployment. The successful candidate for this Software Tester position must possess the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Analyzing user stories, use cases and requirements for validity and feasibilityDeveloping test cases based on user storiesFamiliarity with Linux based operating systems as an end-userCollaborating closely with software developersExecuting all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)Developing automation scripts when neededDetecting and tracking software defects and inconsistenciesApplying quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycleProviding support and documentation in coordination with the development and deployment teams

Position requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the ability to (i) work with minimal supervision, (ii) demonstrate good time-management skills and (iii) be a team player. Good verbal and written communication skills are also a must for this position. The successful candidate will also commit to maintaining current job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Experience working in an Agile environment preferred. 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role.

Certification Requirements:

Have or able to obtain Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire.
