Senior Finance Analyst (Analyst III)

Through our Mission Adaptation program, our goal is to build and equip a resilient network of community-based partners and workforce ready to augment and enhance food security, emergency shelter and care, and access to health and mental health services needed when climate emergencies strike and to ultimately reduce the impact of climate caused displacement and poverty for families at extreme risk by helping them more rapidly transition to safe, stable, and affordable housing. The American Red Cross is seeking a senior finance analyst (Analyst III) to support the Mission Adaptation program of domestic Disaster Cycle Services. The senior finance analyst will report through the finance department at national headquarters and will gather, analyze, and prepare recommendations for financial plans. Partner with business leaders to provide the organization with information to make informed short- and long-term financial decisions.

The role will be heavily focused on performing financial analysis and presenting and producing timely and directionally accurate management reports and recommendations to help influence leadership decisions. The Sr. analyst will often need to produce these reports from multiple sources within a very limited timeframe and will have to use their best judgement to give the most directionally accurate information. The senior analyst will need to be very talented in working with a variety of computer programs and databases.

This is a virtual opportunity. The position is remote from anywhere in the United States. Availability to travel and deploy out of state is required (approximately 5% travel).

Responsibilities

Conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis projects. Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. Provide monthly revenue and/or expense analyses and reports. Monitor operating budget process and allocations. Provide analysis to determine present and future performance. Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and systems.

Qualifications

Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Accounting, Finance, Business AdministrationExperience: Minimum 5 to 7 years requiredEssential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughoutchapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.

salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $95,000
