Description
RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Program Planning and Commercialization Advisor to become a part of our team supporting the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)'s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system. This position will support the Strategy and Program Development Office, part of the Portfolio Strategy Division at OCED. This support is provided remotely for various DOE locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support OCED's leadership to advance the Office's mission and programs
Advise on planning, design, and development of funding programs (financial assistance, prizes, partnership intermediary agreements, and work with National Laboratories) to address systemic barriers and to create a robust ecosystem around the clean energy demonstration projects funded by OCED
Support planning informational workshops, organizing merit reviews, and briefing selection officials
Collaborate with Federal officials on program planning and management
Support monitoring and evaluating technology area project portfolios to ensure program and individual project performance goals are met
Assist the government team with synthesizing information flowing from internal and external stakeholders, supporting decision-making, and ensuring execution of directives at Federal offices, National Laboratories, and industry partnership organizations
Requirements
Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
2-6 years (combined) relevant experience in the needed areas listed
Demonstrated interest and technical expertise in energy, energy technologies, and sustainability
Experience working with small businesses/start-ups /incubators /accelerators
Demonstrated experience in technology transfer and commercialization
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented work
Experience in conducting risk versus payoff assessments and gap analysis
Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must, including the ability to synthesize volumes of data and communicate technical and financial ideas and concepts to diverse audiences
Demonstrated independent problem-solving, leadership, and innovation skills
EDUCATION: Master of Science (MS) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree (e.g., engineering, sciences, social sciences, mathematics)
