Working closely with the rest of the engineering team, you will help ensure we build high-quality systems by monitoring best practices, building and enhancing automated solutions, accelerating customer value delivery, and minimizing human interactions with systems. We seek highly collaborative, creative, and intellectually curious DevOps Engineers passionate about forming and implementing cutting-edge cloud computing capabilities.Come join an exciting cybersecurity product startup that just closed Series C funding round!What You Will Do:Work closely with development teams to integrate their projects into the production AWS environment and ensure their ongoing support once there.Gain a deep application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design.Be a DevOps champion - work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the development lifecycle.Someone who enjoys working directly with a small set of clients throughout the entire lifecycle - from onboarding through their day to day support needs.You will be their first line of defense and are expected to be able to solve 90% of your clients issues without escalation to the internal DevOps or SRE Teams.Will have a background in programming, operations, and full-stack implementations.Works with application developers to automate and accelerate applications' testing, release, and deployment into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.Dive deep into the software stack to troubleshoot as needed.Build engineering automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production environment.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.Establish and employ Continuous Integration practices and tools such as Jenkins or other CI tools. They will have experience using configuration management automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform (or other tools) to create continuous delivery systems.Demonstrable expertise in monitoring tools and establishing thresholds and scalabilityBuild from the ground up reliable infrastructure services in AWS to deliver highly scalable services.Work with a team of peers who are smart and professional, pull their own weight, and share a passion for what they are creating.Who You AreUS Citizenship is a requirement of this position in accordance with 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(2)(C)5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in the software industry preferably as a cloud provider with strong expertise in AWS.Must live in the Washington D.C. area. This role is 90% remote, but occasional on-site visits with government agencies may be required.Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Hands on experience on cloud services like AWS, Google cloud, Azure, etc.Experience with AWS GovCloud and other FedRAMP cloud providersStrong Linux engineering and troubleshooting on RHEL derivativesHave US Government experience as an employee or contractor - i.e. DoD, Treasury, DHHS, etc.Strong analytical skills and comfortable taking ownership of issues while delivering on tight timelines.An innate need to provide the best service possible to Cyware customers.Experience with tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools Terraform or Cloud Formation.Experience with different queuing systems like Rabbitmq, Kafka, SQS, etc.Ability to create infra services for both cloud as well as on premise deployment.Basic knowledge of networking concepts like subnets, etc.Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Experience working in a startup.Exposure to Linux, EC2 Security, EC2 Balances, Automation Tools, AWS CLI, S3, Cloud Watch & Cloud Trail, SSH, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, MLAB, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Jmeter & Blazemeter are must.Knowledge of Postgres, Python/Django, Golang, data structure, and algorithms would be an added advantage.Experience with GitOps (Flux CD, Argo CD) is a plus.We're a lean team, so your impact will be felt immediately.
