You will be a senior member of the Verizon Business Autonomous Service Platforms supporting Global Customer Operations, Service Operations and BGCO. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the future state of these mission critical platforms while maintaining and improving on current operational/functional KPIs, by leveraging Customer Journeys, Data, APIs and Generative AI to unlock the automation required to leapfrog our current employee and customer experience.

The position is part of an agile, cross-functional team that delivers value to the business with high frequency. A continuous delivery / continuous integration (CICD) approach is followed to ensure tight integration and early detection of issues for quick delivery cycle-time.Design and develop well-architected and scalable end to end applications and development platforms.

Analysis and design of low latency Microservices APIs that will be exposed to external and internal developers/third party vendors.

Conduct iterative application tuning and performance baselining.

Participate in Agile development, daily scrum, and sprints.

Develop high-level and detailed designs with cross-functional input. Work closely with the user community and other external stakeholders to ensure that the final solution will meet business objectives.

Develop features with quality and integrated with continuous integration and delivery infrastructure.

Implement and champion best practices in solution design and delivery to optimize business investments.

Lead end-to-end development of major software features.

Lead the Creation of reusable microservices that can be used by multiple applications and systems.

Perform regular call center visits as applicable to get front line feedback and improve code and processes based on that feedback.

You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Experience designing and developing complex-domain applications and highly scalable ingestion and data processing applications.

Experience with ServiceNow.

Experience with microservices architecture: Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation.

Experience with cloud-native technologies: Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, containers, server less.

Programming Languages: Proficient in at least two programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python.

Front-end Development: Expertise in front-end development frameworks and tools, such as React, Angular

Back-end Development: Experience with back-end development architectures and frameworks, such as Spring Boot, or Node.js and technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, Websphere MQ, Kubernetes.

Databases: Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, such as Oracle DB, MySQL, Cassandra.

Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, OCI, Google Cloud Platform.

Software Design: Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable, and performant software systems.

Problem-solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:A Master's degree in computer science or related field.

Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools.

Ability to lead end of end development of major software features.

Ability to work closely with X-CIO downstream systems & engage development and debugging sessions with them.

Ability to work closely with Business Partners for ideation & front line support through regular Call Center visits.

Experience working with ServiceNow platform.

Familiarity with Contact center technologies such as IVR, Chatbot.

Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML): Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them in a contact center environment.

Experience with security best practices: Familiarity with security best practices and experience applying them to software development.

Experience with mentoring and coaching: Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
