**Geotechnical Department Manager**

DC Metro / Mid-Atlantic (SUMMIT) Geotechnical Department / Full-Time **Overview:** SUMMIT Engineering, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope. **Job Responsibilities:**

+ Maximize long and short term profits

+ Meet with various clients and solicit business

+ Supervises, hires, terminates, evaluates, and mentors employees

+ Quotes costs and fees to clients

+ Prepare proposals and reports

+ Coordinates personnel and equipment within the department

**Required Qualifications:**

+ BS in Civil Engineering from 4-year college or university

+ P.E. License in Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia

+ 5+ years of relevant experience
