The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to federal government quality control guidelines throughout the full program delivery life cycle. This also includes management of client risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery while exceeding customer expectations. Supervises all personnel assigned to the project including time coding, leave approval, training, performance management and disciplinary actions.This role has the authority to run the project(s) on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for ensuring the project achieves the required quality of deliverables within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined by the client. Also, responsible for supporting and maintaining the company culture that fosters creativity, innovation, and advancement.The successful candidate must have experience in providing strategic direction and solutions in order to achieve the best value asset management and operating cost efficiencies as well as optimize it s supporting technology, process, and people.The Project Manager will also have the following responsibilities:Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues and ensure overall program is aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic objectivesMaintain full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment to delivery for one or more initiatives simultaneouslyManage project scope and changesPrepare cost estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the projectPerforms internal quality control reviews to ensure projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards; analyze issues and troubleshoot problem areas; develops risk mitigation strategies; monitors and tracks resolution of issues and conflicts to ensure critical path deliverablesDefine success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycleProvide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership Develop and deliver program presentations to various audiences, including project team, clients, CEO and key stakeholdersSecure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframesProvide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chair the project management team meetingsMonitor staff performance and complete performance reviewsSet and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team.Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practicesWork creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellenceParticipate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organizationWill require up to 25% travelRequired Experience & SkillsBudget Development and Project Management ExecutionDeveloping Strategic Goals and aligning objectives and execution strategies.Process Improvement Planning and Development Analytical and Problem SolvingProject Staffing, Supervision including performance management and employee developmentStrong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizationsProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellenceAbility to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectivesExperience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budgetExcellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demandsUnderstanding of interdependencies between technology, operations and business needsDemonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practicesExperience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessaryProven success in providing on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating technical and non-technical team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesExperience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performanceExperience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peersExperience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentFlexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAdept at conducting research into project-related issues and productsMust be able to learn, understand and apply new technologiesMust support diverse and inclusive work environmentTechnically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, and SmartSheetPreferred ExperienceProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferredRequired EducationMinimum of a bachelor s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience12 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects12 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment12 years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
