Sr. SOCOM Program Manager

Job description

The Program Manager is responsible for service delivery for designated programs and provides expert technical support and high degree of customer service to Inmarsat Government resellers and end-users. The PM uses various project management techniques including setting expectations, establishing timelines and milestones; accurately gauges project resource dependencies and works with customers and peers to ensure minimal resource conflicts; constantly reviews project tasks and communicates status and impact of changes to customers and Inmarsat Government stakeholders. The PM provides long-term customer support and account management, has frequent interactions with customers, and therefore must be effective in interpersonal communications and problem solving.
Previous experience in or supporting the SOCOM community as well as hands-on technical SATCOM experience desirable.

Detailed Description

Customer Liaison:

  • Provides accountable first point of contact support for service delivery management.
  • Runs interference for and acts as internal/external technical and management escalation for customers technical and administrative issues.
  • Periodically reviews Billing/Back Office customer relationship and assists with account reconciliation.
Project Management:
  • Participates in pre-sales process including quote and proposal reviews.
  • Facilitates and monitors shipping and logistics flow and ensures timely delivery to customer.
  • Produces Statements of Work, Concepts of Operations, and project plans.
Contract Management:
  • Maintains expert knowledge of Inmarsat Government s contractual commitments and responsibilities to its resellers and customers at a global level and at a program level.
  • Ensures Inmarsat Government is compliant with written and verbal contracts, Reseller Agreements, terms and conditions, Statements of Work, policies and procedures, pricing schedules, and SLAs governing the purchase, installation, and use of Inmarsat Government products and services.
Responsibilities
  • Executes project tasks according to plan; meets key milestone dates; communicates impact of all proposed changes to project stakeholders.
  • Communicates status of projects at the task level; ensures the delta between proposed dates and actual dates are clearly and rationally articulated to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinates project kick-offs with project stakeholders to gather and document information and validate project logistical requirements.

  • Technical and non-technical communication and escalation skills.
  • Effective time manage skills and ability to establish and manage priorities
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor s degree from accredited college or university.
  • Three to five years technical Program Management experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Other
  • Must hold, or be able to obtain, the PMP credential
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret Level; clearable to the level of Top Secret
