****Role Summary****

Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of Norplas to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor in order that the situation can be corrected. Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur. Must where all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), when required.

Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks.

Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Norplas.

Perform daily cross-functional job assignments in all areas of your assigned department per the established procedures and work guidance.

Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.

Meet or exceed daily production goals as directed by the Production Team Leader and the departmental objectives.

Must communicate with a leader when a press malfunctions.

Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Production Team Leader.

Record and report all data required to maintain daily production records and submit the data to the Production Team Leader for input into the Norplas data collection system.

Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.

Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, business use only.

Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed in accordance with Company Policy.

Perform all assigned tasks per the work guidance sheets, TPMs and quality alerts.

Participate in rotating schedule to update 5s Board.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Team Leader.

Positions starting at $19.60/Hour for 2nd shift and $19.85/Hour for 3rd shift.

****Key Responsibilities****

Inspect parts unloaded from injection molding machine and remove flash with trim/debur knife/and or flaming torch as needed.

Check parts for molding defects and communicate identified defects to Team Leader or Control Plan Administrator for corrective action.

Install components as required.

Apply label to part or check laser label, place in protective bag if required, and place into rack or tote.

Apply protective tape to various parts as required.

Apply identification label to rack before moving to WIP.

Operate secondary equipment as required.

Communicate on the radio when racks and totes needs changed out at the press.

Sort and determine appropriate destination for saleable, reclamation, ACI, reclaim mold defects and bad scrap.

Must have basic computer skills and be able to operate a scanner.

****Key Qualifications/Requirements****

Ability to read, write and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required.

****Additional Information****

This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while

standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to

15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. This position also requires a person to be capable of performing sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours. Good vision at a close distance is required.
