Job description

Job Title: Proposal Writer (Onsite)

Location: Greenbelt, MD

Job Summary:

Swingtech is currently seeking a dedicated Proposal Writer to join our Proposal Team. In this role, you will collaborate with business development, capture, and proposal teams to create compelling and technically accurate responses to government solicitations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a rapidly growing provider of professional services to federal agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead written response efforts by developing win themes and strategies based on solicitation requirements.
  • Gather information through independent research and interviews with SMEs to develop technically compliant responses.
  • Translate complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • Participate in color team reviews, providing valuable feedback and implementing peer suggestions.
  • Assist with creating infographics, flowcharts, and other visual elements.
  • Compile and organize boilerplate content, maintaining documents such as executive summaries and capabilities statements.
  • Participate in capture and proposal strategy reviews and solution sessions.
  • Provide oversight on proposal compliance and quality, identifying and resolving gaps and risks.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to proposal development.
  • Write and edit content for marketing materials, corporate website, and capability briefings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in English, information systems, computer science, or a similar discipline.
  • 1+ years of federal government experience, responding to RFPs, RFIs, as well as other types of Government solicitations.
  • 1+ years of technical writing and/or proposal writing experience; experience in highly technical proposals for government solicitations preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
