* I-3 is a company with many forensics opportunities. The candidate will get first-hand knowledge of what we do and be involved in other forensics activities.
Typical Day:
Work within the Firearms Unit in a fully-functioning, accredited laboratory. All work takes place in the laboratory.
Tasks:
* Receive and inventory evidence
* Process, analyze and examine evidence according to forensic science discipline and accreditation standards and FLS policies and procedures
* Create examination documentation for work performed
* Issue forensic laboratory examination reports
* Provide expert testimony on work performed
Required/Desired Qualifications:
* Education: Prefer (but not needed) B.S. degree with at least twenty-four (24) credit hours in the Physical Sciences.
* Experience: Prefer experience working in an accredited laboratory.
* Demonstrated ability to study and pass training, examination, and testing assessments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* US citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS)
Shift Information:
* Full time
* Day shift (normal working hours falling between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.)
