JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead, direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors and/or trade labor.

Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to project budget.

Oversee and make decisions related to the performance of work on scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.

Oversee work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation. Resolve local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment schedule.

Manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.

Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and/or Interns, as assigned, and provide input on or completing performance appraisals.

Create schedules and determine sequencing of work. Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.

Communicate with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues; investigate and resolve issues.

Manage the billing process for Work In Place (WIP) and oversee the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices and subcontractor payment applications.

Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.

Read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

Perform the foregoing using knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, including Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S applications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management and 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of experience in Related Occupation

RELATED OCCUPATION:

Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent or any other job title performing the following job duties:

Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.

Assist in the implementation of the site safety program as required and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.

Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.

Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCR's).

Assist in obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing of shop drawings, product

Review all work as it is being placed to be sure it is accurate within accepted tolerances.

Review contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.

Assist in preparing estimates for changes in the work including review if Change Order requests from subcontractors

Assist in the preparation of final records for the project including close-out documentations, Operations/Maintenance (OM) Manuals, etc.

Serve as liaison with subcontractors

Assist with documentation management for the project, including receiving drawings and specifications, providing the proper file structure and distribution to all parties

Assist in the preparation of project as-builts.
