Senior Director, Demand Planning & Inventory Management

Job description

+ Directs and facilitates the coordination of supply chain business initiatives related to cost to serve model development, supply chain balanced score card and inventory turns
+ Functions as subject matter advisor for cross functional initiatives which include supply chain operations, packaging optimization, production operations
+ Provides guidance on short and long term capacity requirements at every stage of the supply chain.
+ Adapts production plan to acute business challenges to achieve maximum order fulfilment and cost efficiency
+ Ensures understanding of capacity at each stage of supply and throughout the distribution channels and partners ensure adequate capacity to meet short and long term needs
+ Identifies temporary or ongoing supply costs or quality risks and develop a plan to mitigate or accept these risks
* Demand Planning
+ Partners with Customer Service and Sales Operations to understand sales forecasts, trends and risks
+ Drives and facilitates the development of demand plans and forecasts (Statistical Operational Forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
+ Drives and facilitates the development inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
* Production Planning
+ Identifies internal supply chain strategies that provide assures order fulfilment with the best cost efficiency
+ Provides leadership for replenishment methods, integrated planning, operations management planning, and inventory productivity
* Partnership with Supplier Management and Production Management
* Distribution
+ Directs all functions of the logistics staff and third-party providers related to distribution activities
+ Assures quality and efficiency of the warehouse team, processes and facilities
+ Implement and manage appropriate agreements, pricing protocols, and minimum and maximum inventory levels
* Facilities

this role MAY assume responsibility for some or all of the AtriCure facilities.
+ Organizational Leadership - Provide high level leadership and direction to the AtriCure Facilities department including development and implementation of short- and long-term facility needs based on growth projections.
+ Daily Management - Ensure that all AtriCure facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
+ Assure all facilities operate toward these policies and associates feel safe, values, and proud of our work environment.
+ Financial and Legal - Work with the Finance and Compliance Departments to ensure that all AtriCure facility leases are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary to meet the long-term needs of the organization.

+ Ensure that all procedures, budgets, and company policies are efficiently adhered to
+ Drives the Supply Chain Working Groups to promote close collaboration among stakeholders impacting the successful launch of trade and sample product
+ Represents the Supply Strategy function in various recurring supplier or product meetings
+ Utilizes knowledge to drive improvements and monitoring of distribution centers productivity
+ Effectively manages and fosters interactions between interdisciplinary teams and makes accurate evaluations of staff capabilities and fit
+ Demonstrates ability to direct, coach, and guide staff in both professional and managerial skill development

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for all forecasting, planning and inventory management activities for AtriCure Inc. This position directs development of a consensus forecast model, production scheduling activities, as well a global warehousing and distribution activities. This position directs the Supply Strategy function to develop and maintain, through collaboration with internal stakeholders, a comprehensive, robust, and efficient strategy for product supply throughout the global product lifecycle. The successful candidate must be capable of translating objectives into a deliverable strategy to achieve business goals and create a competitive advantage of the product portfolio. Focusing on building a world-class team, utilizing, and deploying Lean Six Sigma techniques, driving continuous improvement activities and achievement of superior performance across all (Key Performance Initiatives).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education and Technical Management Experience
+ Bachelors degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
+ Project management and analytical skills
+ Comfortable driving multiple initiatives at a rapid pace, making thoughtful recommendations with available data
+ Expertise in operational planning and collaboration
+ Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and SharePoint and be able to develop comprehensive reports and analyses
+ Financial knowledge of budgets, cost accounting and variance analysis
+ General familiarity with forecasting software programs
+ Experienced at program management and analytical techniques
* Industry Experience
+ FDA and ISO 13485 expertise and experience required
+ Proven experience with medical device design and manufacture
+ Demonstrated possession of in-depth and current knowledge of industry best practices and the ability to implement the same
* Manufacturing Skillsets
+ Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
+ Experience in technical report writing and verbal and oral communication skills
+ Must be able to read and interpret technical specifications and illustrations
+ Problem solving/trouble shooting experience
+ Deep understanding of component manufacturing technologies including molding, machining, polishing, brazing, bonding, additive manufacturing, and various testing techniques
+ Understanding of facilities management including fabrication and maintenance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 10 years of class II or class III medical device manufacturing leadership experience
* Formal training in quality assurance (e.g. AQS certification) and / or manufacturing systems (e.g. LEAN, 6 sigma)
* Advanced technical or business degree(s) or similar training
* APICS/CPIM certification
* CLTD certification
