Synergy Enterprises, Inc., a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Graphic Designer. The qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting on a variety of creative projects. Such projects include but are not limited to preproduction tasks, original graphic design, layout corrections, and preparation of files for print and digital/web production.
Job Description
Integrate approved copy into approved design using media and production methods for production of deliverables such as: reports, conference books, posters, specialty items, PDF print and interactive forms, and email announcements.
Develop original designs and/or integrate revisions to approved design concepts for projects that can include slide presentations, Websites, brochures, advertisements, exhibits, catalogs, direct mail, corporate identity, publications, and packaging.
Prepare digital files in appropriate formats and dimensions in addition, make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities (508 compliant).
Follow federal and corporate branding guides and guidelines.
Qualifications
Must possess minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience.
Degree or formal training in graphic design (print and digital media), web design, or related field or equivalent experience.
Intermediate proficiency and knowledge in the use of following applications:
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe apps a plus)
Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other MS apps a plus)
Canva
Professional graphic design portfolio
Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work from design briefs to determine a creative direction suitable to government client and project.
Skillful and strong design and desktop publication layout skills
Strong digital design and animation knowledge for social media platforms and Web design processes a plus
Capability to create interactive Portable Document Format (PDF) and PowerPoint presentation that incorporates interaction-encouraging elements such as clickable links, embedded videos, and animated GIFs to name a few.
Ability to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
