We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models to drive efficiency and innovation within the Engineering industry. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, AWS, Kafka, and Linux. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models to drive efficiency and innovation within the Engineering industry. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, AWS, Kafka, and Linux. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and maintain advanced machine learning and statistical models using Python.
- Use big data and machine learning to build predictive models and to find insights within unstructured and structured data sets.
- Implement data-driven solutions based on advanced ML and optimization algorithms to tackle business problems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, and Kafka.
- Develop tools and integrate them with other platforms to retrieve and analyze data.
- Design and develop software and data pipelines on large-scale data sets.
- Work in a Linux environment and script in Bash/Python for data extraction and manipulation.
- Effectively communicate complex technical results to business clients.
- Continually learn and grow with new technologies and tools in machine learning and data science.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Proficiency in Python, with a strong grasp of machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, Kafka.
- Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating system and scripting in Bash/Python.
- Experience in developing and implementing machine learning models in production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new techniques and technologies.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
