Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position requiring an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models to drive efficiency and innovation within the Engineering industry. This role requires a high level of proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, AWS, Kafka, and Linux. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and maintain advanced machine learning and statistical models using Python.
  • Use big data and machine learning to build predictive models and to find insights within unstructured and structured data sets.
  • Implement data-driven solutions based on advanced ML and optimization algorithms to tackle business problems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, and Kafka.
  • Develop tools and integrate them with other platforms to retrieve and analyze data.
  • Design and develop software and data pipelines on large-scale data sets.
  • Work in a Linux environment and script in Bash/Python for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical results to business clients.
  • Continually learn and grow with new technologies and tools in machine learning and data science.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong grasp of machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, RDS, Kafka.
  • Experience with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating system and scripting in Bash/Python.
  • Experience in developing and implementing machine learning models in production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new techniques and technologies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
