PROFILE:We are actively searching for a Security Systems Technician and offering up to a $3,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates. Do you have networking and computer skills experience with the desire to work in the commercial security, video surveillance, access control and other commercial/ industrial low voltage systems field? If so, this may be the perfect role for you.Duties/Responsibilities:* Install conduit, cabling supports and pathways for indoor and outdoor rated wiring and cabling systems* Install, terminate, and test security system wiring and data cabling* Mount security panels, hardware and devices to surfaces and rack spaces in a clean and professional manner* Supporting the foreman with loading equipment* Checking equipment inventoryRequired Skill/Abilities:* Experience implementing local area networks to include wireless technology using multi-operating systems and platforms.* Network and computer trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills required, including knowledge of networking, theory, principles and practices. Specific knowledge of TCP/IP and Windows Server.* Mechanical ability to work with locks and mechanical devices.* Knowledge of telecommunications systems is helpful.Education and Experience:* High school diploma required and/or trade school is a plus* 1-2 years of related industry experience is a plus* Valid drivers license* Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required.
