Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer, Geospatial to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will work directly with clients, from the concept and proposal phase, to planning and build, and ultimately to the delivery. As a Geospatial Engineer, you'll solve difficult problems and implement

core features, playing a meaningful role in building and delivering high quality projects. You're an experienced software developer that owns your work and maintains a passion to learn and grow. Our cross-disciplinary teams consist of world class developers, technical artists, 3D artists, UX & UI designers, and staff dedicated to software quality.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS capabilities to serve our clients.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, Geospatial, you will:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining real-time 3D streaming technology aimed at streaming and rendering large scale synthetic environments in Unity.
  • Working with a software development team lead and a project team of designers, project managers and quality analysts to advance the support of Geospatial-based workflows with Unity.
  • Helping drive technical direction of software features with your lead.
  • Following agile software development methodologies, and collaborating with clients on technical solutions.


    Required Qualifications:

    • U.S. Citizenship is required.
    • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
    • Consistent track record of delivering products with Unity, C#, or C++.
    • Experienced with large terrain formats, geospatial information systems (GIS), and terrain streaming/paging systems.
    • Strong technical competence and subject matter knowledge in the area of Defense, Simulation, and Training.
    • Good communicator with the ability to work as part of a team of diverse skills and interact directly with clients.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience with defense training solutions in the live, virtual, constructive and integrated domains.
    • Experience with large data streaming techniques
    • Experience with 3D graphics programming
