Job Summary:

  • The Engineering and Planning Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate and support the Transmission Protection & Control department's Short Circuit Modeling activities related to the development and execution of the five regions work plan.
  • This will need be accomplished in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to report development, resource assignments, impedance process execution tracking, Short Circuit model tracking, preparation and issuing of Requests for Proposal (RFP), Work Authorizations and Change Orders to external companies, among others.

    Basic Microsoft Access knowledge
  • Base skill set to be able to work with and navigate Saranow content
  • Ability to learn new software tools and run reports
  • Data Analytics knowledge
  • Ability to interface and work well with different levels of individual contributors and management is required.
  • Experience in business unit operations and business acumen strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of business unit financial and operations systems and databases preferred.
  • Is proactive in responsibilities and does not wait for direction from management to conduct work.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Coordinate work activities of others within work group, team or those external to the company including contractors, vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.
  • Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solution of problems or analysis.
  • Participate in the planning and organization of short circuit model requests and work activities.
  • Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building.
  • Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to lower level employees as appropriate.
  • Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university/college or an associate's technical degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in work and asset management or closely related field.
