About the job Site Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Bilingual preferred

Directs/manages overall daily operations of the designated Outreach Branch with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

A. Outcomes Management

1. Establish, monitor and evaluate Branch programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of strategic outcomes.

2. Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.

3. Develop and maintain public relations and recruitment efforts to increase the visibility of programs, services, the number of children participating in activities within the Club and the community.

B. Resource Management

4. Develop and manage annual budgets and control expenditures against budget.

5. Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups

C. Skill Development

6. Recruit, manage and provide career development opportunities for branch staff and volunteers.

7. Develop staff skills in program development and implementation, outcome management, fundraising, membership development, and Board development (as required)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
Assume other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Area Director/Branch professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, and provide/receive information. Maintains contact with Branch Boards as required. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.

External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, parent groups and others to assist in addressing concerns and to publicize Branch.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: (Education, experience, skills required)

* Bilingual Preferred
Four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization

planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or

equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment

and retention of key personnel.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
Ability to deal effectively with members including behavior management.
Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
Skills in fund-raising events.
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
Valid Drivers License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires the ability to speak, hear, use a personal computer for standard business communications, and the ability lift up to 15 lbs.
The ability to travel between locations and attend meetings outside of regular operating hours
