Job Title: Accountant

Position Type: 12-month contract to hire

Location: Rockville, MD

Salary Range / Rate (Currency): $60k-80k/yr, $30-40/hr

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements):

Responsibilities:

• Review payment applications and expense reimbursement forms.
• Prepare online banking transactions.
• Track fixed assets, including creation, transfer, and scrapping processes.
• Fill out Form-1099 at the end of each fiscal year.
• Perform physical inspections of fixed assets and participate in quarterly stock counts.
• Collaborate with the SOX and Audit teams.

Requirements:

• Collaborating with Mandarin-speaking colleagues or partners, proficient Mandarin will be highly preferred
• 2+ years accounting working experience
• AICPA certification preferred.
• Experience in an accounting department is a plus.
• Proficient in financial accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
