Staff Accountant - Free Parking in Beltsville!

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is an construction company in the Beltsville area who has been around for 50+ years!
• Due to an vacancy, they are looking to bring on a Staff Accountant.
• The position is temporary, but for the right candidate can turn permanent.
• Pay: $29-31/hr depending on experience.
• Schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00a-5:00p.

Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

• This Staff Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and Controller.
• Responsible for full-cycle general accounting, month-end close activities, bank and account reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Assist with financial reporting.
• The Staff Accountant will also handle various ad hoc projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager and Controller.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
• 3-5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
