AP Specialist - 4 Days Remote, 1 Day in Office

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a for-profit services client who is a leader in their industry!
• Due to a vacancy, they are hiring a AP Specialist in their Owings Mills, MD. office!
• Position is mostly remote (4 days) and 1 day in office in Owings, Mills, MD.
• Pay is $28-30/hr - depending on experience and education.
• This position is temporary, but for the right candidate it could go permanent!
  • Last person converted at 4 months!

Overview of the AP Specialist role:

• Manage AP Inbox
• Filter and route invoices to corresponding engineers for approval
• Once invoices are approved for payment, prepare batches to be paid according to the corresponding accountant
• Cut checks once batches are approved by accountants and posted for payment (check run occur on a weekly basis)
• Publish analytics and provide check run summaries to management
• Consolidate statements to make sure we're up to date and there are no missing invoices
• Contact vendors to request missing invoices, W-9 and COI forms
• Download invoices from vendor websites

Preferred Qualifications for the AP Specialist:

• 5+ years of AP experience
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
