Senior Accountant

Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid Position - 2 days from home, 3 days in-office)

Salary Range: Up to $105,000 per year

Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our client's financial integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Investments, Loans, Mortgage banks, Derivatives, Gain on sales, Fair value, and Calculated earnest income. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct reconciliations of various accounts, including Investments, Loans, and Derivatives.
• Monitor and report on the fair value of financial instruments.
• Calculate earnest income and assess gain on sales accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
• Support financial audits and provide assistance as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting accounting practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of Investments, Loans, Mortgage banks, Derivatives, Gain on sales, Fair value, and Calculated earnest income.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
