AP Specialist - Paid Parking & Hybrid

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our repeat client who is a powerhouse in the design industry!
• Due to growth, they are hiring an AP Specialist in their Silver Spring, MD office.
• Schedule: In office for training and then move to 2 days in office, 3 days remote. Paid parking!
• Pay: $28-30 per hour (depending on experience), Mon-Fri, 8:00a - 5:00p.
• This position is temporary, but for the right candidate can become permanent!

Overview of the AP Specialist role:

• Manage AP Inbox
• Filter and route invoices to corresponding engineers for approval
• Once invoices are approved for payment, prepare batches to be paid according to the corresponding accountant
• Cut checks once batches are approved by accountants and posted for payment (check run occur on a weekly basis)
• Publish analytics and provide check run summaries to management
• Consolidate statements to make sure we're up to date and there are no missing invoices
• Contact vendors to request missing invoices, W-9 and COI forms
• Download invoices from vendor websites

Preferred Qualifications for the AP Specialist:

• 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Deltek Vision is a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to work independently
