Staff Accountant - Free Parking Onsite in MoCo

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a wonderful non-profit in Montgomery County who is helping the unhoused members of the community.
• Due to a vacancy they are looking to bring on a Staff Accountant.
• Duration: 6+ months (for the right candidate this position could become permanent)
• Pay: $28-31/hr depending on experience.
• Hours: 9a-5p
• Position is in office in Rockville.
• Covid-19 Vaccination is required.

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Responsible for reviewing invoices, data entry, filling, issuing checks, and assisting with month-end close activities.
• Monitor the AP inbox.
• Vendor maintenance.
• Reconciliations - bank, credit card, balance sheet, etc.
• Ad hoc projects / reporting
• Position is 85% payable / 15% general accounting

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience
• 2-4 years of General Accounting Experience
• Blackbaud experience is a plus
• Bachelors degree is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel skills are a plus
• Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail.
