Tasks can include:Constructing scaffoldPerforming rough formworkConstructing gang laddersConstructing slab box outs, set sleevesLayout and installation of wall blockingInstallation of roof blockingHanging and finishing drywallFloor levelingCaulkingPatching patch hollow metal doors and frames (bondo)Installing fire safing (isolations) and smoke sealAbility to flag- traffic control (* Needs certification)Working ConditionsThe majority of work is completed on job sites in an office trailer or in an existing Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.The project team and/or team member may need to move to other projected work geographic locations, if necessary.Education, Experience, and KnowledgeHigh school diploma preferred and on-the-job training required.Minimum 2 to 4 years experience.Forklift training preferred.Basic knowledge of reading blueprints is required.Training in OSHA10-hour preferred.CPR/First Aid Training preferred.Ability to demonstrate proficiency with little supervision and little direction.Ability to make sound business decisions as it related to field operations.Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.Ability to clearly speak and understand the English language.Must be able to write with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar.Must be able to read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of truck, tools and equipment, and methods and methods and procedures.Understands safety rules and tool / equipment instructions.About usBalfour Beatty US is an industry-leading provider of general contracting, at-risk construction management and design-build services for public and private sector clients across the nation.
