Overview Summary: We are looking for an experienced Production Scheduler to provide and maintain comprehensive production schedules in collaboration with Molding and Printing Departments to meet customer demands here at our Tolleson, AZ manufacturing plant. Responsibilities Manage Production Scheduling Department. Capacity planning; interpret/analyze customer demand-categorize, input, schedule customer demand via forecast, min/max, or make to ship status; annually or semi-annually company and individual production plants molding and printing capacity; analyze capacity for new incoming business Production planning; analyze weekly or monthly projections to evaluate short term capacity and machine scheduling; lay out weekly/daily production schedules to generate material requirements for purchasing; schedule production molds for two tool shops to schedule mold maintenance/repair; work with Human Resources to assist in labor staffing to meet production requirements; establish and determine weekend and all holiday production schedules Inventory control; schedule production to meet customers' requirements to sustain agreed upon inventory levels; monitor and schedule production to form the right mix of allocated warehouse space while maintaining proper inventory levels; reconciling inventory discrepancies and change production schedule; moving inventory (stock transfers); maintain files Production and machine scheduling; layout daily machine schedules; prioritize machines daily; contact other plants on a daily basis to review machine schedules and/or changes; change schedule based on customer's request Production scheduler; perform all the duties and responsibilities outlined in the job function and activities of the production scheduler CPIM and JD Edwards preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: None Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Degree - preferably Production/Inventory control or equivalent. Five to seven years experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
