**Permanent Position with Benefits.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.**A long-standing architecture, engineering & construction firm is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineering Dept. Mgr. to support our governmental design, commercial clients, and program work. This individual will prepare project deliverables ensuring compliance with all company, client and industry standards for commercial and retail building construction projects.**REQUIREMENTS**

BS Mechanical Engineering or MS Mechanical Engineering is required.*

An active Ohio PE license is required. Multiple state licensure is desired. Able & willing to obtain additional state PE licenses.*

Seeking candidates that have five years or more experience in mechanical engineering role, preferably in a consulting firm setting or closely related; HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection Systems.*

Seeking candidates that experience using modeling software such as COMcheck, Tran TRACE 700, Carrier HAP, etc.*

Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and reviewing authorities*

Must have experience working with and managing subordinate engineers, engineering technicians, and drafters.*

Must be proficient with REVIT and/or AutoCAD.*

LEED Certified is desired but not required.**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Provide mechanical design budgets for client proposals.*

Coordinate project requirements with the Project Architect and other disciplines.*

Manage the design workload among department staff, perform employee evaluations.*

Perform Pre-design site surveys for renovation Projects.*

Prepares HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection plans and specifications.$100K
