Job description

We are looking for an experienced Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB-GYN) to provide exceptional care to our patients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing examinations, procedures, and offering counseling to patients throughout their lifetime. This position is located in Columbus, GA, and operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Responsibilities:


  • Review patient medical histories and update charts with current findings and treatments.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, including medical histories, reports, and examination results.
  • Provide care for women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care.
  • Analyze records, reports, and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Explain procedures, discuss test results, and address patient concerns.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Advise patients on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of medical staff, including nurses, students, assistants, and therapists.
  • Consult with or provide consulting services to other physicians.
  • Recommend and design treatment plans.
  • Address patient concerns and questions about their health and well-being.

Qualifications:


  • Degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
  • Completion of an accredited program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • National exam passage.
  • Georgia medical license.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

Evaluation:
Ongoing performance evaluation will be conducted by the Chief Medical Officer according to center policies.
