Responsibilities The Inventory Control Specialist will be an essential position to all inventory control functions, including: running daily reports, tracking inventory, research discrepancies, month end reconciliation, physical inventory, cycle count reporting, and driving continual improvements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a high level of analytical and problem solving skills as it relates to inventory accuracy and the impact on the overall business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconcilliation, and adjustments when necessary. Audit BOMs to ensure pulling of accurate inventory items and make corrections when necessary. Follow Inventory Control procedures, managing and maintaining inventory accuracy to ensure product availability to meet production needs while minimizing invetory costs. Data processing, product data management and inventory variance reporting. Maintain plant obsolescence inventory. Reconcile inventory inaccuracies using negative inventory report, no usage/no forecast report, obsolete report, transaction trace history, and BOM audits. Work with all departments to keep consistent procedures in place, including aiding with training of employees. Qualifications Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting. Capable of obtaining Forklift Certification. Previous experience and proven knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures. Proficient in Excel and data anlysis. Proven commitment to accuracy and accountability while working with little supervision. Able to effectively communicate ideas.
