Job description
Job Summary: We are looking for a bartender to greet our guests with hospitality as they arrive into our conferencecenter and function rooms. They will make and serve drinks for our guests. Will work at the pool bar, the resort bar or the banquet/event bar as needed.

Responsibilities
Maintain an efficient and professional bar area and provide quality service
Work the banquet bar by greeting and preparing drinks for guests through-out the function
Accurately record and account for bar inventory sold
Oversee set-up, breakdown, cleanup and storage of banquet bars and inventories
Verify supplies and products are properly handled and stored
Attend and participate in banquet pre-shift and periodic banquet staff meetings
Other duties as required
Requirements
Must be 21 or older
Must be an excellent team player
Attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position
May be required to work varying schedules
Professionally represent the hotel and property when interacting with guests from the community and industry organizations
Proper uniform and maintaining a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per policy is required
Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
Qualifications:
The individual must possess the job knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job. This being with or without reasonable accommodation, using a combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience: 1-year banquet server experience with our company preferred or past full-service banquet bartender / bartender experience required as substitute
Specific job knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to read, speak and write basic English in order to communicate with customers and other employees
Ability to exercise good judgment
Possess multi-tasking skills
Knowledge of food and beverage menus, food preparation and presentation
Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision at times
Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently
Possess good inter-personal and sales related experience
Possess basic computer skills to be able to use POS system or cash register system
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist and reach for extended periods of time. Especially standing for long periods of time
Have moderate to high level of energy and physical stamina
Exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by restaurant / hotel environmental systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently during workday
Appearance Guidelines:
Hotel Department uniform is required. See Catering Department dress and appearance guidelines. Also, one must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
