Geologics is seeking a talented Test and Evaluation Engineerto work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Manassas, VA.

Position: Test and Evaluation Engineer

Type: W-2, Contract

Location: Manassas, VA

Pay: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour

DoD Clearance Requirement: In order to be considered for this position, you will need to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable time after starting. Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

The Test and Evaluation Engineer works as part of a team in charge of designing, developing, producing, integrating, and sustaining tactical systems on U.S. and Foreign Military submarines. The Engineer collaborates closely with the Navy, internal production teams, and industry partners to ensure the flawless delivery and operation of these critical systems in laboratory and submarine environments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive test procedures
  • Use measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Conduct Verification and Validation for corrective changes
  • Perform installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems
  • Assist in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps
  • Support informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities
  • Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Support the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures
  • Employ a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests
  • Identify functional issues and propose effective resolutions
  • Operate in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities
  • Develop and analyze test cases while providing regular progress updates
  • Some travel required (in support of test events in government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations).


Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience OR 3 years with a master's degree, to include experience with all of the following:
    • Software Testing and Analysis
    • Verification and Validation
    • Experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Navy or Submarine experience
