Description

The Product Specialist, Cell Therapy - North America serves as a technical specialist supporting the Product Management and Sales teams for the Electroporation platform in cell therapy applications. This customer-facing role will assist with developing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to ensure coordination between Sales and Product Management. This individual acts as the point person for supporting sales opportunities, product development projects as well as provides biopharma market intelligence for use in planning the long-term vision and strategy for the product lines. The Product Specialist will have broad responsibility for our representation in the market and will be pivotal in generating ideas for improving our collaterals, solutions, and overall market approach. A part of this role will include presenting product and application-specific data to our sales team and end users. The role in this capacity is to understand the customers' application, identify their needs and determine practical solutions to address their needs. The Product Specialist reports to the Sr. Director of Product Management. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Location: This position is fully remote.

  • Act as science lead/expert to solve customer problems, support sales and expand our customer base in cell therapy applications.
  • Serve as a liaison for ongoing product development projects.
  • Identify, assess, and exploit new business and market development opportunities in collaboration with the rest of the Product Management team Identifies and nurtures external collaborations, and business/corporate development (acquisitions, technology licensing, and joint product development opportunities).
  • Contribute to the development and the execution of product-line growth strategy.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, breakthroughs, and competitive developments in the cell therapy market.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative market analysis and monitor industry trends.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, breakthroughs, and competitive developments in the cell therapy market.
  • Propose, design, and create effective sales collateral to support and train the sales team for the cell therapy market segment.
  • Attend conferences and reporting on trends and competitive activities.
  • Produce applications marketing collateral to support sales team including application notes, videos, presentations, etc.
  • Assist technical service in supporting customers, addressing quality issues, and handling complaints.
  • Assist in training of sales team on new technologies and products.
  • Prepare reports regarding customer project status.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical Sciences, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in mammalian cell line development, cell therapy workflow, cell therapy applications or any combination of education and experience.
  • Upholds and adheres to the company culture and guiding principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, as well as the ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and very well organized, with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.
