Job Summary
Contributes in increasingly independent ways to the success of projects by:
- Individual contributor, assists with design production of building infrastructure projects
- Support the electrical and lighting design of systems from various projects-including power systems, lighting, fire alarm and other signal systems
- Select equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and prepare equipment schedules
- Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters
- Research design options, code issues and ask general questions of code officials and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer
- Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems
- Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
- Keep Project Manager/ Sr. Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar
- 0-2 years of internship experience
- Preferred experience in AutoCAD & Revit
- Preferred understanding of applicable design and building codes
