**Description**

* Drive various power industrial vehicles and control movement of lifting apparatus.

* Unload and stack material on and off various machine, facility, and vehicle platforms by raising and lowering lifting devices.

* Manually unload and stack material with other technicians weighing 50-75 lbs. on and off various machine, facility, and vehicle platforms, including pallets and skids, etc.

* Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels and production schedules.

* Perform basic level maintenance on forklifts to include lubrication, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank and replace liquefied gas tanks.

* Perform daily pre-operation inspection of forklifts.

* Conduct inventory of goods/materials and supply production crew with materials as needed.

* Shovel, scrape, and clean designated areas along the production line and in the warehouse/ lots.

* Transport products to and from remote storage areas.

* Respond to upset conditions on the line to include palletizing system, material conveyance and production systems.

* Safety interact with the production process and equipment as trained, including the regular replenishment of critical raw materials on various products.

* Works up to 12-hour long rotating shifts, including nights and weekends and overtime as needed.

**Position Requirements:**

* High school diploma or GED.

* Valid drivers license.

* Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

* OSHA training preferred.

**Machinery, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices, and Software Utilized in This Job:**

Forklift truck, general hand tools (knife, box cutter, adjustable wrench, etc.), process indicators (pressure, temperature, etc.), scales, shovel, CVU, push broom, power sweeper, air chisel, jack hammer, and others as required.

* While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees and vendors and monitor various production equipment.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to position himself/herself to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or maintain heavy plant equipment, computers and other office machinery, this may require climbing stairs/ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, using hand tools, and repetitive motions involving the wrist, hands, and fingers.

* The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds

* The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field of vision, is equal to mobile equipment operators, which carries a minimum standard for use with those who operate cars, trucks, forklifts, cranes, and high lift equipment.

* The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. The worker may be exposed to extreme cold for periods of more than one hour where the temperature is below 32 degrees. The worker may be subjected to extreme heat for period of more than one hour where the temperature is more than 100 degrees. The worker may also be exposed to sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level. Hazards may include: proximity to moving mechanical parts or vehicles, electrical current, working in high places, and possible exposure to chemicals. The worker may be subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, etc.. There may be exposure to oils and other cutting fluids. The worker is required to wear steel-toed boots, hard-hat, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
