About the jobThe Red Hat North America Public Sector Services team is looking for a Civilian Territory Services Manager to lead the sales and delivery of key and emerging technology solutions across the Federal Civilian region. In this role, you will develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with a subset of assigned civilian agencies. You will oversee the successful sales and delivery of projects under your assigned territory from kickoff to closeout, including determining scope details and monitoring the project's progress to ensure that it conforms to customer expectations and contractual agreements. As a Civilian Territory Services Manager, you'll need to have a good foundation of technical knowledge and project and scope management expertise to successfully oversee the territory. You will regularly collaborate with a senior-level territory manager, the services technical team, and a group of Red Hat sales representatives to promote business development activites. Applicants residing in the northen Virginia and Washington, D.C. metro area are strongly preferred.What you will do* Design and implement effective, high-impact technical and business solutions for Red Hat's customers with a focus on our emerging technologies* Contribute to and share complex, reusable, and high-impact Services solutions across NAPS to help solve recurring customer problems* Sell Red Hat's solutions using the business requirements of your customers to create unique Red Hat offerings* Grow your territory through the development of internal business partnerships with the Field Sales team as well as alliance and partner programs* Work with Sales Account teams to strategize, plan, and coordinate quarterly and yearly pursuits on Services sales* Assist with negotiating statements of work with Customers and legal teams* Accurately and consistently booking forecasts for your territory* Ensure successful delivery of all projects, maintaining a high customer satisfaction level* Navigate and proactively own escalation procedures* Facilitate the end-to-end delivery of Red Hat Services sales opportunities within accounts, focusing on sales for net new and farming* Coordinate customer managers who manage consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration within your teamWhat you will bring* Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer, preferably within a technology or consulting organization* Consulting program management, sales, or technical implementation experience* Ability to craft and present complex solutions to internal and external customers* Experience with cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization* Experience adhering to open framework methodologies within project teams* Understanding of the relationship between the services team and other teams like sales, customer success, engineering, and support* Excellence in guiding and conducting presentations for customers and for internal audiences* Effective communication skills with the ability to maintain Red Hat's style of messaging and perspective* Foundational understanding of services related to next generation Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) including hybrid cloud, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) including containers and/or Kubernetes, operations management and automation, agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, edge computing, and the general system security accreditation process* A passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation* US Citizenship is requiredThe salary range for this position is $179,310- $286,830 OTE (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation).
