JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for managing all food and beverage operations, maintaining Cosmos Club's standards through all guest interactions. They should have experience improving member satisfaction and enhancing employee engagement.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages all food and beverage operations to Cosmos Club standards
  • Preserves excellent levels of internal and external member/guest service
  • Oversees the Catering, Banquet and Dining Room operations
  • Leads the food and beverage team with an emphasis on recruiting and training
  • Oversees the beverage program, updating the wine list and acquiring wine for future sale

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 2+ year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field preferred
  • Proven food and beverage management experience in restaurant/hospitality venue
  • Ability to manage and inspire personnel
  • Proven ability to work within budgeted targets and goals
  • Passion for training team members
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Sommelier preferred or an individual working towards the designation
  • Flexible with varying schedules to reflect business needs
