Title: Manager, HR Operations

Reports to: SeniorDirector of Human Resources

Location: Columbia, MD

Position Summary: Are you ready to jump on a rocket ship? Ambu has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, HR Operations to join our high performing and customer obsessed team. This is a hybrid role based in our US HQ in Columbia, MD.

Reporting into the Senior Director HR, US and Canada, you will have full ownership of the HR Operations activities for our US and Canadian teams, including but not limited to Policies and Procedures, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS, Data and Analytics, Reporting, and Culture and Engagement programs. Further, you can expect to work closely with your HR Business Partner colleagues to drive continued high-quality support to our 350 (and growing) employees across the region.

This role is ideal for a proactive self-starter who has a demonstrated track record of success ensuring our HR organization is delivering flawlessly and impactfully in support of our business. This role currently has one direct report.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our goals and objectives
Oversee the performance management process and work closely with HR Business Partners to ensure that employees receive regular feedback and coaching to enhance their performance
Manage the compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonus programs, and health and welfare benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Oversee the HRIS system (SuccessFactors) and ensure data accuracy and integrity
Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends
Manage HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, and Education:
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:
5+ years of experience in HR Operations experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience operating within a global organization highly desirable.
Prior experience in a growth environment, establishing structure and processes where required
Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Track record of managing, motivating, and developing team members within HR Operations function
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficient in HRIS systems (SuccessFactors preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
