Job DescriptionDescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer. Work directly with customers in a technical role to help ensure smooth adoption of the Crucible platform and develop cutting-edge solutions using the Crucible platform* Spec, build, test and deploy customized mission-focused applications based on customer requirements* Participate in deployment and implementation planning with customers* Directly assist with installation and setup of the Crucible platform* Produce customer documentation to support custom applications* Contribute technical content and tutorials to product documentation* Familiarity with distributed systems like Hadoop, HBase / Accumulo, Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka* Experience with source code management tools including GitHub / GitLab* Experience with Java, architecting ETL data pipelines supporting data-driven applications, utilizing REST and JSON* Familiarity with systems for data routing and transformation such as NiFi* Systems-level understanding of Machine Learning concepts and technology* Experience writing scripts using Linux shell, Python, or similar scripting language* Experience working with Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP* Experience working with Linux to install and maintain a distributed computing infrastructure* Responsible for demonstrating SAIC solutions to customers and partners* Deliver customer trainingQualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements* US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Clearance* B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline* Requires 5-10 years of experience with implementation and understanding of Network Engineering principles in a professional environment.* Requires 5-10 years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of network architectures.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
