Job description
The Frederick News-Post, operating a state-of-the-art web offset printing facility in Maryland, is seeking an experienced press operator to help us serve our growing commercial printing business. Contact us to learn about our $5,000 signing bonus and enhanced compensation plans. Primary duties include preparing, operating and maintaining the offset press and operating folders, reel stands, quiet room, stackers, trimmers and stitcher. Candidates must possess basic mechanical skills and have thorough knowledge of printing press procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent or vocational schooling is preferred. Must have the ability to reason and follow instructions as well as the ability to compensate and make adjustments during production runs to ensure safety and quality.
