Responsibilities
Duties:
- Conduct research and experimentation in support of core scientific disciplines within the agency. (e.g. photogrammetry, remote sensing, mathematical and statistical).
- Design and execute experiments to validate concepts in laboratory and operational environments.
- Assist in strategic technology investments and research feasibility assessments.
- Develop innovative algorithms and techniques to address complex challenges in GEOINT.
- Collaborate with contractor scientists and domain experts on research and development projects.
- Translate mission requirements into actionable insights and support SAR imagery analysis.
- Communicate scientific findings and trends to non-technical audiences in both verbal and written formats.
- Evaluate and document reports on fundamental physical processes associated with mission problems and their SAR response
- Demonstrate and document the effectiveness of new algorithms.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree within a core science area such as, but not limited to: Physics, Applied Physics, Photogrametry, Remote Sensing, Aerospace Engineering, Geophysics, Cartography, Computer Science, and Satellite Geodesy.
- Computer programming skills in multiple languages.
- Demonstrated specialized experience in the intelligence community focused on state of the art GEOINT research and developmental activities.
- Expertise in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Image Intelligence (IMINT), or Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).
