Job description
Savan is seeking a strong artificial intelligence (AI) PMO analyst who will help support AI project governance and project management oversight for bureau-level CIOs in the Department of Commerce. The ideal candidate will possess technical experience, PMO and program management experience, and AI knowledge. The candidate will demonstrate excellent client-handling skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels of the client organization quickly.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide PMO services to assist the client in collaboration with several IT services and solution offerings.
- Partner effectively with the client teams to facilitate and drive project management maturity collaboratively.
- Provide analysis and guidance on enterprise risk/issue management, enterprise reporting, and strategies for aligning project execution with the organization's strategic plan.
- Develop and support IT governance processes, including but not limited to the organization's implementation of key IT programs and policies, and provide feedback on processes including improvement opportunities and impacts to the overall portfolio of IT projects.
- Help coordinate gate reviews from the inception of the project to close.
- Develop standards and templates to track program schedule, cost, and performance.
- Provide project management support to select IT projects, including support in the areas of resource, cost, risk, issue, change, and schedule management.
- Perform policy analysis, drafting new policies and compliance guidance.
- Prepare management and technical presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or a relevant major
- 3+ years of overall experience
- 2+ years of related IT and PMO experience
- 2+ years of experience working for the Government as a consultant or similar environment.
- Experience writing reports, briefings, and decks and presenting them to clients in a way that is professional and influential.
- Experience building relationships with senior-level federal officials and performing subsequent stakeholder management.
- Ability to complete individual tasks effectively, work in a team environment, and be proactive with little guidance.
- Ability to think critically and analyze a wide variety of complex problems.
- US citizenship
- PMP in progress or in hand
- Experience with project management tools such as Google Sites, Microsoft Project, Slack, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, etc.
- Experience with AI tools and knowledge of data quality for AI tool training.
