Geologics is seeking a talented Cyber Systems Security Engineerto work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Manassas, VA.
Position: Cyber Systems Security Engineer
Type: W-2, Contract (6+ months)
Location: 100% onsite in Manassas, VA
Pay: $35.00 - $41.99 per hour
DoD Clearance Requirement: In order to be considered for this position, you will need to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable time after starting. Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required. Job Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing Cybersecurity capabilities for US Navy submarines.
- Analyze current systems engineering documentation and processes, work with customers to determine needs.
- Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis.
- Work closely with small group of developers to ensure implementation is in accordance with the requirements.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- In order to be considered for this position, the ability to obtain a Secret is required (U.S. Citizenship)
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of related experience, to include:
- Understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
- Experience generating Subsystem Level Requirements, Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Interface Requirements Specification (IRS) from Security Controls, Performance Specification (PSPEC), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documents
- Knowledge of Linux and software development/programing
