The Sales Representative is responsible for delivering Volume and Profit Growth through effective execution of a sales strategy in a geographical territory or with an assigned customer base. The sales representative will work to attract and retain business through a deep understanding of Colonial Chemicals products and our customers needs. The successful employee will be able to identify and develop sales opportunities that best meet these needs.

**JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES**

* Evaluate business needs and build productive, consultative sales relationships with customers.

* Review status of existing accounts and research sales leads by understanding the potential customer base.

* Maintain a clear and updated view of your sales pipeline.

* Responsible for negotiating customer pricing, as well as maintaining and coordinating customer quotations in ERP system.

* Responsibilities for Individual and Sales Team orders.

* Forecast sales volumes and customer requirements by analyzing sales data and market trends.

* Identify developing markets to help maintain competitive edge.

* Other assignments as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS**

* Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field preferred.

* Minimum of 2-5 years of successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager in a chemical or commodities industry.

* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Dynamics (CRM) and PowerPoint.

* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

* Proven ability to successfully drive the sales process from start to close.

* Expert relationship builder both externally and internally.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and customer relationship development.

* Ability to manage time and resources effectively in order to achieve goals.

* Finely tuned listening skills and a proven ability to solve problems giving ability to close a sale.

* Ability to present company, recognize customer needs and negotiate appropriate value for products and services offered by Colonial.
