We provide daycare, overnight care, training, and home care as a part of our services to our canine best friends. Summary

The Overnight Shift Supervisor manages the overall tactical operations of the facility and has direct on site supervision of all support personnel and whose primary responsibility is the safety of the dogs who stay overnight at BFFE, ensuring safe supervision and protocols of the 5 A.M and 9 P.M. dog handlers and completion of appropriate dog overnight protocols. This position will have 2-6 employees that it supervises from 5:30 P.M. 9 P.M. This is a shift position which begins at 5:30 P.M. through 6:30 A.M. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities and is responsible for the overall performance of the facility during the shift hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Primary Duties Evening Shift Transition*

Help evening staff release dogs to their owners.

Ensure evening feedings as scheduled.

Pick up all waste (poop) from the outdoor area and empty all outdoor water bowls.

*Potty Break Management*

Ensure that dogs receive their potty breaks according to protocol

While dogs are out on their final potty break, clean out cages of all food bowls and spilled food.

Clean crate areas while dogs are on break.

Ensure the geriatric and special needs dogs get extra potty breaks throughout the overnight and receive quality of care needed for their conditions

Let dogs out into their respective play areas for morning potty break by 5:00 am, leave out for 10-15 minutes and then place dogs back into their crates for breakfast

*Crate Protocol for Overnights*

Ensure safe crating and kenneling of dogs for overnight stays

Prepare morning food bowls with required food.

Bathe any dogs scheduled to go home that evening for pick up next morning

*Facility Cleaning & Hygiene*

Maintain a clean facility throughout the night, according to cleaning protocols.

Prepare and run laundry, according to laundry protocols.

Prepare meals for the dogs and maintain clean kitchen facilities

*Morning Shift Transition*

Grant access to morning shift personnel and relay any pertinent information.

Collect all food bowls, and dirty snoozies from crates. Wash the bowls and start laundry load.

Ensure that all food bowls are pulled and washed prior to clocking out

Check in any early drop offs

*Technology*

Ensure safety and security parameters are met throughout the evening

Provide excellent Customer Service through late check outs, early check ins and calls Utilize Gingr for feeding report, health report and time out report updates

*Education and/or Experience*

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
