Overview Summary: We are looking for an experienced Printing Technician support our machine operators and help and program our dry offset printing presses and large industrial equipment in order to ensure all printing production equipment performs as required in our warehouse. This excellent Technician performs mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and provides support to other Technical roles. Job details: Job Type: Full-time Shifts available: 12 Hour Overnight Shift 6:50PM to 7:00AM (2,2,3,2 schedule) Plus Night differential pay Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00 Referral Bonus: $1,000.00 per referral Bi-Annual Profit Share Compensation Benefits: Berry offers three insurance plans. Responsibilities Follow all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures. Know and follow all PMO work instructions. Stir and add ink. Clean blankets and plates. Change blankets. Start/stop Dry Off-Set Clean color heads, rollers and fountains. Set up color heads for next print run. Complete plate changes if Cell Leader requests. Check plates, inks, set-up and color standard against printer set up sheet. Clear unload and in-feed jams. Maintain appropriate speed assigned each press. Knowlege of Dry off-set printers preferred Follow all GMPs. Fill in for Technical Group Leader when necessary. Must complete PMOT Training booklet. Any other duties assigned by Group Lead or Manager. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma / GED equivalent Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously Prior printing experience with good mechanical ability preferred Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders / steps Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 12 hours Ability to work in a dusty and loud environment Visual acuity of at least 20/40 corrected vision for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 7-point font at 12 inches. Ability to reach and lift overhead Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
