Overview

LMI is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) in Chantilly, VA to join a dynamic team providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services support an Intelligence Community client.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team of space system experts, engineers, and stakeholders to develop models of complex future space systems including system architecture and behavior using systems modeling languages such as SysML and UAF.
  • Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using Digital Engineering and MBSE concepts and tools such as DOORS Next Generation, Cameo, and other COTS tools.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT s) and other engineering working groups to review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts such as concept of operations (CONOPs), system interfaces, functional allocation, and data models.
  • Collaborate in development of architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities.
  • Provide meeting coordination, technical consultation, and system development to assist the customer decision makers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
  • 2-4 years of experience with BS/BA, 1-3 years of experience with MS/MA technical degree (engineering, engineering technology management, or related STEM field).
  • Familiarity with space systems engineering capabilities.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering concepts.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with MBSE and Agile Development methods.
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo and DOORS.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as SysML, UAF, Python, Java, and C++.
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
