Job description

Responsibilities* This is for future upcoming opportunities*Noblis is expanding its data development team to support a wide variety of client needs focused on electronic fraud. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Noblis Lead Data Analytics architects and data scientists to design and implement analytics, data ETL, data QA, and a variety of operational needs to support the mission.The Data Analytics Engineer will also work closely with government personnel and other Noblis professionals in a team environment.Responsibilities include:* Design, development, integration, and implementation of data processes* Identification of analytics approaches, and development of supporting analytical data sets.* Understand business processes and work collaboratively yet independently to support the operation of a large and complex data warehouse (MapR(Hadoop), Spark, ElasticSearch)* Interacting directly with client project team members and operational staffRequired QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline required + 18 years of experience, or Masters degree + 10 years of experience or PhD.* Five or more years of progressive experience in data analytics* Experience in the design, development, integration, testing, and implementation of a large scale analytical data sets* Strong skills in either Python or Java are a required starting point.* Experience in Linux command line environment is required* Strong analytic and creative problem solving abilities are required* Highly inquisitive and ability to work both independently and in collaborative setting* Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills* Strong communication, written, and organizational skills* Ability to work on multiple aspects of a large scale project which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion* Prior experience with any of PySpark, Scala, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/MapR is a plus (eagerness to learn is required!)* Experience with D3 or Flask is a plus* Ability to obtain a public trustDesired QualificationsU.S citizenshipOverviewNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI, and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
